My family and I had a great experience at the Matador, especially enjoying its location right at the start of the boardwalk. The rooms were clean and comfortable, perfect for our family needs, but the Wi-Fi was spotty, which was a bit frustrating. The kids loved the pool, and we appreciated the rooftop patio for evening relaxation. Overall, it offered excellent value for a beach trip, despite a couple of minor drawbacks.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the right size for our family of four, though they could use a bit more personality in the decor.
Service
8.0
Maintenance staff was quick to respond to our issues, and most of the other hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is ideal, with the beach right at our doorstep and the boardwalk just a short walk away, making it convenient for all our activities.
Dining
6.0
We found it convenient to grab breakfast nearby, but there weren't many options available in the hotel itself, which was a bit of a letdown.
Facilities

The pool area was inviting and clean, although it was small, and the rooftop deck offered lovely views for relaxation.

7.2/10

The Matador offers a clean and comfortable stay close to the beach, with a friendly staff that enhances the experience. However, the dining options are lacking and the pool can become overcrowded, especially during peak times. Additionally, while the convenience of amenities is a plus, some small charges and limited parking can be a drawback. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a family-friendly vacation.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean and recently remodeled, though my 'no view' room was quite small. I appreciated the fresh towels and cleanliness.
Service
7.0
While the staff were generally friendly, I found the response at the front desk to be less accommodating regarding a late check-out request.
Location

The location is great, just a short walk to the beach and right at the start of the boardwalk, making it convenient for family activities.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, dining options were very limited, and I would have liked more breakfast choices during my stay.

The pool area was well-maintained, but it was often packed and could feel overwhelming with numerous guests.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On one hand, the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, and the amenities like the pool and rooftop deck were enjoyable. However, I encountered significant cleanliness issues in my room, which left me feeling disappointed. While the price was reasonable, the lack of attention to cleanliness is concerning.

6.8/10

Our stay at the Matador had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, just a few steps to the beach and the boardwalk. The cleanliness of the property was impressive, and it felt well-maintained overall. However, the room size was much smaller than expected, and we faced some noise issues from neighboring guests. The amenities were decent, but the dining options could have used improvement, particularly breakfast.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean but much smaller than anticipated, leaving little space for comfort.
Service
7.0
While the staff we met were friendly, there were moments when service felt a little detached.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is ideal for families, just a short walk to the beach and tram access nearby.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options weren't particularly great, and a wider selection would enhance the dining experience.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was enjoyable but often crowded, which detracted from the experience at times.
